Term3-a ‘How we express ourselves’
This term Kindy will focus on Korean traditional art which is linked to the UOI ‘How we express ourselves’. The students will make masks and learn a Korean mask dance. They will also experience how to draw Korean traditional paintings using ink. Kindy will learn the vocabulary that relates to colour and nature such as mountain, river, flower, butterfly, clouds etc.
Term 3-b Celebration
Kindy will learn about celebrations which occur in May such as Korean Children’s Day, Parents’ Day, Teacher’s Day and Buddha’s Birthday.

Kindy will begin the year by learning basic greetings, introducing themselves, family members, friends and Korean manners. This term they will especially focus on friendships and will learn vocabulary and simple phrases related to the friendships.
Kindy will also celebrate Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) linked with UOI ‘Who We Are’ and will learn Korean customs and traditions like bowing, dancing, wearing special clothes and polite vocabulary for giving best wishes to people.
After that Kindy will study different roles in our community. They will learn vocabulary and simple expressions related to jobs at BIFS and our community in conjuction with UOI ‘How We Organize Ourselves’.
